Bodywork (Equine Massage Therapy)

Bodywork, specifically equine massage therapy, is a cornerstone of my approach. This therapeutic technique not only alleviates physical tension and pain in horses but also enhances their overall well-being. Using techniques from Stride Right Body Specialty, we can address headaches, sinus drainage issues, improve breathing, increase range of motion, release nerve impingement, posture correction and more. By addressing muscular issues and improving circulation, equine massage therapy helps horses feel more comfortable and relaxed. This physical ease translates into a more positive and receptive state, laying the groundwork for better communication and interaction with humans. Additionally, I offer the convenience of traveling to your barn to provide these services, ensuring that your horse receives the care it needs in a familiar and comfortable environment.

Immersive Reiki

Energy healing, particularly Reiki, is another integral element of my approach. This practice involves channeling positive energy to promote healing and balance in both horses and humans. Reiki sessions can help to alleviate stress, reduce anxiety, and support physical healing. By working on an energetic level, Reiki complements other therapeutic modalities, creating a holistic environment where both horse and human can thrive. These sessions are immersive, hosted in my barn, where you relax in the musical sounds of nature, including visits from my horses. With clothes kept on, this energy exchange is crucial for establishing a deep, intuitive connection.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), commonly known as "tapping," is a therapeutic method that combines elements of cognitive therapy with acupressure to help individuals manage and alleviate emotional and physical distress. The technique involves tapping on specific meridian points on the body while concentrating on negative emotions, thoughts, or physical sensations. This practice is based on the belief that the body has energy pathways, similar to those used in acupuncture, and that negative emotions or traumas can block or imbalance these pathways, leading to pain or emotional discomfort.

By tapping on key meridian points, such as those on the head, face, and chest, while focusing on a particular issue, individuals can help release these energy blockages, resulting in a reduction in the intensity of the negative emotion or physical pain. The combination of physical tapping and cognitive focus enables emotional release, promoting a sense of calm and emotional freedom. Studies have shown that EFT can be effective in reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and even physical pain. The technique is thought to work by lowering cortisol levels and modulating brain activity related to stress and emotional processing, providing a holistic approach to healing that connects the mind and body.

Equine Assisted Learning (EAL)

Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) leverages the natural instincts and behaviors of horses to facilitate human learning and personal development. Horses, with their heightened sensitivity and awareness, serve as mirrors to human emotions and behaviors. Through guided interactions and activities, individuals can gain insights into their own patterns, build emotional intelligence, and develop new skills. EAL sessions are designed to foster trust, improve non-verbal communication, and enhance empathy, benefiting both humans and horses in the process. I host one-on-one sessions or small groups (under 5 people) at my personal barn, creating an intimate and focused environment. Additionally, I can work with you to host an EAL-focused clinic at an off-site facility, bringing these transformative experiences to a broader audience.

Relationship Coaching (Horse/Human)

Relationship coaching focuses on building and nurturing the bond between horse and human. By understanding and respecting the unique needs and communication styles of horses, humans can develop more effective and compassionate relationships. Coaching sessions are tailored to address specific challenges and goals, whether it's improving riding biomechanics, enhancing mutual trust, or resolving general issues. The emphasis is on creating a partnership based on mutual respect, understanding, and clear communication. These sessions are designed to build trust, enhance partnerships, and create confidence tools for both horse and human. However, they do not take the place of veterinary care or discovery and should not replace the guidance of a qualified trainer.
